Dental Insurance

Something to Smile About
As concerns grow about the cost and availability of NHS dental care, dentists are reporting a fall in the number of patients booking routine check-ups. This suggests that consumers are reacting to the Government’s new contract and charges for NHS dental care introduced in April 2006. As NHS charges have escalated combined with the increasing number of dentists only offering private treatment, many consumers need help with covering the cost of both routine preventative care and treatment.
Dencover, launched a wide-ranging dental insurance product covering private and NHS treatment. The new policy provides highly competitive cover for individuals, couples and for single and two-parent families (including up to four children). Dencover is quite different to other dental 'plans' currently available, as it provides unique '3 in 1' cover.
Policyholders are actively encouraged to make at least two claims every year for the cost of routine examinations, scale, polish and x-rays; it covers a wide range of everyday treatments it also includes accident and emergency cover at home or abroad.
The monthly premium provides a way of planning for routine check-ups; plus it includes a 'conventional' insurance element, which covers unexpected treatment costs, accidents and oral cancer. Policyholders are not restricted to treatment by a specific dentist – they can claim for visits to any dentist throughout the UK.
